Dow is an author and illustrator of a children's books. HUGSBY and MELA AND THE ELEPHANT are both Colorado Book Award finalists. COUNTING ON KATHERINE is a Cook Prize and UKLA award winner. Many of her books feature diverse characters. Dow was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Dow is also a retired pediatrician.
