Local author/Illustrator Stan Yan will be doing readings of his bedtime picture book, There's a Zombie in the Basement, a story inspired by his son's fear of his zombie art, and challenging kids to draw a scarier monster than Stan based on their monster idea!
Stan Yan is a Denver-based author, illustrator, cartoonist, caricature artist, and instructor. He authored There's a Zombie in the Basement and draws the weekly comic strip Peter Cadaver for the sundayhaha.com. He currently teaches at the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design (RMCAD) and serves as Co-Regional Advisor for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (RMC-SCBWI).
