Join local award-winning children's book illustrator Heather Brockman Lee as she reads all of her picture books, including her most recent release, She Is Mama, perfect for Mother's Day!

In this celebration of motherhood, a mama can be many things—from a captain of adventures to a quiet supporter—but above all else, she will always be Mama.

She is mama,

she is many things.

Mama is there

for whatever life brings.

From the author of In My Heart and You Are Home, this heartfelt board book celebrates all the things a mama can be: a silent supporter and an encouraging voice, patience and power, soft and strong. This lovely book speaks to all mothers, who know that to be one is to be so many different things and also just to be one thing: a mama.

Heather Brockman Lee is an award-winning children’s book illustrator, mentor, and adjunct professor. She comes from a background in Fine Art but found her true home in the whimsical, magical and emotional world of picture books.

When she isn’t in her studio painting, you can find her in her garden hanging out with bees, whistling at birds, or hiking with her family. Heather is represented by Deborah Warren at East West Literary Agency.
