These are all based on the enjoyment of the students! They LOVED these read-alouds! The last one is a great teacher/librarian resource!

Favorite Classroom Activity/Lesson: In November, we read Balloons Over Broadway: The True Story of the Puppeteer of Macy’s Parade by Melissa Sweet. While we watch footage of past parades, students create their own 2D parade balloons using construction paper to attach to a city-scape background created by a parent. When we hang these side by side in the hallway, it creates our very own Thanksgiving Day parade!
